Desert blues get plugged into 220 volts when Bombino makes the Sahara vibrate between psychedelic riffs and electric horizons.
A guitar hero and a figurehead of Niger, Bombino electrifies psychedelic blues to promote dialogue and peace. A guitar virtuoso, he uses his music to spread Tuareg culture and a call for unity in the troubled Sahara region. It's a vision he transmits on stage in magnetic live performances with a paramount groove.
A multi-instrumentalist from the Tuareg Ifoghas tribe, Bombino blends acoustic ballads and furious tracks. Weaving poetry and revolt into a tapestry inspired by the struggles of his homeland. He collaborated with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys fame on his album Nomad 2013 and in 2019, became the first Nigerien artist to receive a Grammy nomination. Now Bombino is preparing his grand return with an album announced for 2026.
